Treasure’s Hope Board of Directors

Leila Gonzalez-PresidentLeila Gonzalez-President
Leila’s passion for animals can be traced back to childhood when she brought home, chicks, ducklings and other types of pets not normally found in her hometown of Elizabeth, NJ. She became deeply involved in the rescue community and pitbull advocacy when she adopted several special needs puppies. Shortly after she fostered and adopted Treasure. Treasure and her oldest dog’s sudden illness caused her heart to focus on helping the most forgotten in shelters, those pets with special needs. She was the president of a local pitbull advocacy nonprofit for several years before founding Treasure’s Hope. She established the Pittie Palooza Festival with a rescue friend and has donated thousands to local rescues and nonprofits. Currently, she lives with Treasure, Twinkles, a double merle border collie mix (deaf and blind), Athena, a sharpei mix, and Coco, the cockatoo. All are rescues.

Tasha Dunda was born and raised in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. She has been incredibly passionate about animals since a very young age, which led her to work as a Veterinary Technician for several years. She has been intensely active in the rescue community by fostering and volunteering for various organizations in the tri-state area. Tasha is also in the process of obtaining her certification in dog training to further assist within the rescue community. She currently lives happily with her husband and her “variety pack” (chihuahua, two pit bulls, and two mixed breeds) in Bethlehem, PA.
